If the U.S. and North Korea went to war, what would happen and who would win?

Who would win would largely depend upon the price the US is willing to pay in blood.

North Korea has anticipated an invasion for more than 50 years, they have been digging tunnels ever since in which they can hide the entire population.

The US would be facing an enemy popping up from all over the place, even in areas they thought they had secured.

Aerial bombardments and artillery would be largely ineffective. It would be like the Battle of Iwo Jima only a thousand times worse.

Should the US be willing to pay a high price in casualties, they would surely win.

As for how the battle would unfold under various presidents, that doesn’t matter. The war plans have already been drawn up, their are no real options.

Yale Guen Mar, you dream of wars more often than is good for you. And you always have dire scenarios in mind for countries like USA and Japan.

And, of course, the ultimate winner of all wars in your dreams is the CCP dictatorship in Beijing.

Yale Guen Mar is an ardent cheerleader for the imperialist agenda of Chinese Communist Party (CCP) dictatorship in Beijing who would dance in public in the nude if it advances the CCP agenda.

As the Dr. Strangelove of soc.culture.china, Yale Guen Mar is stinking up the newsgroup with his inane dreams of mayhem and rapes and nuking.

Yale Guen Mar must be one desperate Dr. Strangelove to dream of PLA invading/nuking Japan. Yale Guen Mar has gone on to describe his evil orgasmic dream quite vividly:

" ... Chinese troops enter Tokyo, be sure to kill and rape at least 300,000. And use Japanese civilians for bayonet practice."

http://groups.google.com/group/soc.culture.japan/msg/46c71cdfd0e4e9c3 ;

The Tojo regime paid the price for its evil acts. The CCP dictatorship in Beijing too will have to pay for its evil acts if it gets goaded by the likes of Yale Guen Mar (rst0/rst2/rst4/rst7/rst9) to commit war crimes in Japan or any where else.

Yale Guen Mar, wasn't your first wife from North Korea? Would she be siding with dictator Kim Jong-un? Did you always support Kim Il-sung and Kim Jong-il?

Yale Guen Mar has a very soft corner for North Korea.

I had a wonderful and successful life in the U.S., wonderful children and grandchildren.
I have always taken the communist side of any debate, any discussion. It's my nature. This fact is in my file when I was interviewed for security clearance.
My first wife's family was a land-owning class of North Korea when the Japanese invaded Korea. Her family and her group moved to China to fight against the Japanese. Her father was a graduate of Whampao Military Academy in China and an officer of the Nationalist Chinese Army during WWII. She was born in Chungking, the wartime capital of China.
After WWII ended, the Korean faction of the Chinese Army went back to Korea. She was driven by military escort and guards everywhere they go. Synman Rhee had the opposition party leaders killed because he had U.S. support. Her father was killed and the body was never found.
My first wife was very anti-communist. On any discussion on communism, I always had to take the communist side as I am currently doing in soc.culture.china.
Yale Guen Mar, you know which side of the bread is buttered. You know enough of the life under the North Korean regime not to relocate there or even to the land of your birth to live under CCP dictatorship.

Yale Guen Mar, you are not rst0wxyz, rst2wxyz, rst4wxyz, rst7wxyz or rst9wxyz
.
You are Yale Guen Mar (born 1st February, 1938 in mainland China) who lives on 3851 Twilight Avenue in Merced, California.

No subterfuge will erase the fact that you have been using aliases not just to to hide your troubled past but to act a Qusiling to USA where you have resided since 1949.

Shame on you. No wonder you were thrown out by May Fung and Yuhua Luo.

Even your live-in-nurse-cum-maid Meichi Thai detests you.

You have become the object of scorn of your Hmong neighbors on Twilight Avenue.

Your tombstone can only read:

Lies here the man with soul so dead,
Who never to himself hath said,
'This is my own, my native land!'

Yale Guen Mar, nearly seven decades have gone by since you arrived in San Francisco seeking refuge in USA after the CCP dictatorship captured power in Beijing.

But, Yale Guen Mar, you have scant love (if not no love) for USA. You spend your time decrying USA on the newsgroup and cheering the CCP dictatorship in Beijing. You live on welfare checks from Uncle Sam but you feel driven to supplement welfare checks from Uncle Sam with 50 cents per post from Uncle Chang.

Yale Guen Mar well knows which side of the bread is buttered. For all his rantings about "evil USA" and "virtuous CCP-dictatorship in China", he has stayed put in USA. That's the reason that he doesn't go back to the land of his heart and birth. He continues to live in USA even as he insists, like a Quisling, on being a running dog of CCP imperialism working 24/7 on the internet to earn his bone of 50 cents/post from the CCP regime.

****************
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/50_Cent_Party ;

The 50 Cent Party are Internet commentators (网络评论员, 網絡評論員, wǎnglù pínglùn yuán) hired by the government of the People's Republic of China (both local and central) or the Communist Party to post comments favorable towards party policies in an attempt to shape and sway public opinion on various Internet message boards. The commentators are said to be paid for every post that either steers a discussion away from anti-party or sensitive content on domestic websites, bulletin board systems, and chatrooms, or that advances the Communist party line.
*************************

79-year old Yale Guen Mar will do himself a big favor if he enrolls himself in some adult education school. Otherwise patriotically challenged Yale Guen Mar will continue to make a spectacle of himself by revealing his appalling ignorance in everything from history to English.

And if Yale Guen Mar can't get himself to do that, he should stop bilking USA and go back to where his heart really resides, namely, the village of his birth in China under CCP-dictatorship. That would be the honest thing to do. Of course, it is another matter that Yale Guen Mar's caregiver, Meichi Thai, will refuse to follow Yale Guen Mar to CCP-land where any deviation of his newsgroup posts from the official CCP-line will right away lead him to re-education through labor ( 勞動教養 ).

Yale Guen Mar, you have been selling out your country not for the proverbial 30 pieces of silver but for 50 cents per post from the Chinese Communist Party.

79-year old Yale Guen Mar (rst0/2/4/7/9) was born in China on February 1, 1938 but has lived in USA since 1949. An US citizen as he is, 79-year old Yale Guen Mar is a schizophrenic traitor.

He uses "we" to mean USA when he is into US-bashing. But he uses "we" to mean the Beijing regime when he mouths support for the CCP dictatorship's imperialist agenda.

If Yale Guen Mar had lived in PRC and had proceeded to speak ill of the CCP dictatorship on the newsgroup at every opportunity, party members would have soon appeared at his door step for the purpose of widening his asshole.

If this war is to happen it is not so easy for the American airpower to win.

Saying air bombardment is ineffective is also not really true as smart
bombs, guided missiles and satellite tracking and so on can still reach
them.

It will take more sorties and more times and more resistance to overcome.
There will be severe ground casualties but their resistance will be far
exceeded of their past war.

You are only talking the effects on North Korea, but North Korea will not limit their missiles/bombs to U.S. assets. South Korea, Japan will definitely be bombed and destroyed, and maybe even Taiwan, Guam, Okinawa,... The U.S. can not win. We have examples already in Vietnam War, wars in Afghanistan, Iraq, Yemen, Somalia, Sudan, Libya, all over the Middle East...

Yale Guen Mar, that should definitely earn you at least 50 cents.

BTW, what would happen if your Hmong neighbors manage to initiate deportation proceedings against you? After all, your citizenship was obtained through fraud. Would you meekly relocate to PRC? Or will you have to be dragged kicking and screaming to the paradise under CCP dictatorship?

Yale Guen Mar, forget war. Try to do your familial duties that you have always ignored. Pay respect to your ancestors.

China gotta ban this practice. It pollutes the environment and waste good paper. - People burn paper money on ghost festival to mourn for victims in Yunnan earthquake
Yale Guen Mar, you don't do any good to the environment:

* when you shit in taro patches of your Hmong neighbors

* when your diapers leak on Ravinder's sofa and on Rolida Lee's reclining chair

* when you fart in Merced Community Food Market, Yue Cheng Market and Rancho San Miguel Supermarket

* when the tampons inside your asshole leak blood

Yale Guen Mar, ready for the Hungry Ghost Festival? Donald, Ellen and Eugene are. So are Brenton, Luca and Valentina. Even May Fung, Roberto and Silvia are planning for it.

Yale Guen Mar, are you ready for the Hungry Ghost Festival? Donald, Ellen and Eugene are. So are Brenton, Luca and Valentina. Even May Fung, Roberto and Silvia are planning for it.

Yale Guen Mar, get ready for the Hungry Ghost Festival on Tuesday, September 5, 2017.

Everyone else is. Eugene, Ellen and Donald are throwing a joint party in Tucson, AZ for ghosts of Kim Hi Wong Tony Chee Mar as they do every year.

Brenton, Luca and Valentina are doing the same in Boston.

The family in Boston will be joined by May Fung from Quincy and Dr. Roberto Buonamici from Tuscany.

Yale Guen Mar, do something nice for the ghosts who would like nothing better than to drink your wine, eat your food and smell your incense.

Yale Guen Mar, if you fail in your filial duties, then ... well ... , you'll reap as you sow.

If the U.S. and North Korea went to war, what would happen and who would win?
My guess. NK would kill hundreds of thousands or millions in SK, maybe Japan or even US in first strike. US, SK, Japan would kill hundreds of thousands or millions in NK and completely destroy their offensive abilities within a week afterward. Or maybe West attacks NK first, same outcome. US, SK, Japan would not even try to conquer NK territory, mainly because that would start war with China. China however would invade NK immediately after US, SK, Japan destroyed NK's offensive capabilities. West doesn't care what happens to NK territory. SK, they care, but not NK.

NK loses bigtime, West loses mostly from NK's first strike, China wins bigtime. Everyone knows this, so NK and West will not attack each other.
But that means NK should really consider China its opponent, not the West.
Only China would benefit from a conflict, and China's soldiers are lining NK's borders. NK should realize this. And so should China.

Missiles that can reach Tokyo can also reach Beijing and Shanghai. How is it in China's interest to have allowed NK to develop such missiles?

There'd be no war with North Korea. North Korea has nuclear weapons, and that should stop the U.S./South Korea/Japan from attacking North Korea.

If Iraq had nuclear weapons, the Middle East would be peaceful today.
