"President Biden and Vice President Harris pursued a strategy of
renewal, pairing historic investments in competitiveness at home with an
intensive diplomatic campaign to revitalize partnerships abroad. This
twin-pillared strategy, they believed, was the best way to disabuse
competitors of their assumptions that the United States was declining
and diffident."

The above is from Antony Blinken's Foreign Affairs article.

Blinken claimed that America in decline is wrongly believed by America's
competitors such as China. He also credited the US leadership.

"The Biden administration, for its part, has been working tirelessly
with partners in the Middle East and beyond to end the conflict and
suffering in Gaza, find a diplomatic solution that enables Israelis and
Lebanese to live in safety on both sides of the border, manage the risk
of a wider regional war, and work toward greater integration and
normalization in the region, including between Israel and Saudi Arabia."

Guardian.com editors published an editorial with the title of "The
Guardian view on US leadership: war in the Middle East accelerates
American decline | Editorial."

The Guardian Editorial has quoted Blinken's piece. It however, depicts
America differently.

"Some have dated the end of the American century to Vietnam or the “war
on terror”. But Donald Trump’s presidency quickened US decline. ...

Joe Biden deserves credit for solidifying western support around Ukraine
and restoring relations with Europe. ... The authority it regained,
however, has been squandered. The stark contrast between the anguish
that the administration has shown over Ukrainian deaths and the apparent
indifference towards the lives of Palestinian civilians in Gaza has
sharpened widely held cynicism and anger about American double
standards. A dozen of the administration’s own officials have resigned.
US diplomats warned that its stance “is losing us Arab publics for a
generation”.

"Attempting to justify his abysmal performance in his debate against
Donald Trump, Biden insisted: “Not only am I campaigning, but I'm
running the world. Not—and that's not hi—sounds like hyperbole, but we
are the essential nation of the world.”

That the president believed the results of his policy warranted praise
demonstrated his mental decline. Blinken’s enthusiastic embrace of the
results, claiming the U.S. to be “in a much stronger geopolitical
position today than it was four years ago,” is less excusable, a
desperate attempt to preserve what little remains of his reputation.
After all, who can look at the world today and imagine the American
people saying to Blinken, “Well done, good and faithful servant! You
have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many
things.” (Matthew 25:23)."

Biden is not running and you don't believe in the Bible.

Whatever.
The question at hand is whether the US is still in decline.
Not that China wants it. Rather, the US has lost it groove and unlikely
to get it back anytime soon.
