And it's a joke to constantly disparage the Western press except when
their articles support your
viewpoint.
WHY? Don't quite understand your comment.
Are you saying Western presses are always correct and infallible? OR
they are always wrong?
If not, what's wrong for anyone to disparage any press when it is wrong
and use the articles when it is right?

It is a matter of evidence and reason. Feel free to present your point
of view with evidence and reason. But your comment does not make much
sense.

You have said before that you don't listen to the Western press with
regard to China. Then you quote the >Western press as a reliable source
about beliefs of the Chinese people. Makes no sense.
I still don't believe Western press as a reliable source about China and
Chinese.
Why? Simply put. Their reports are often not supported by evidence.
In contrast, I have no problem quoting Western press concerning polls
answered by CHINESE CORRESPONDENTS.
What if the polls reported the oppposite of what you believe?
Especially those I could look at the polling organization's methodology
and resultant statistics myself.
In comparison, there were a lot of talks in the Western press on Chinese
Debt Trap. Where are the evidence and associated statistics? In their
absence, I have no reason to believe those reports.
What if the reports confirmed what you believe?
I feel like I am responding to illogical and inconsistent arguments here. It's been going on repetitively for decades.
Oh well.
Dr. Lee, I have decided to assist you in overcoming your deeply illogical bias.

The first question is, why do you trash American democracy so much when so many PRC citizens have fled to Taiwan, USA
or other true democracies to get away from the "great democracy" that exists in the PRC?

I can read the news well and I don't need help.

If you want to discuss American political systems US and/or China, you
could begin with DDD in the US and its absence in China.

If you want to know why many chinese seeks to emigrate to the US and
else, feel free to start a new thread on that topic.

You have been posting obsessively for 25+ years. It's time to grow up.

I still don't believe Western press as a reliable source about China and

Today is September 8. But the mistake in an article by CHRISTOPHER
BODEEN, Updated 9:44 PM EDT, September 5, 2024 is still not corrected.
In general, publications are as good as their readers. A matter of
informed and interested readers.

"Ko finished third with about a quarter of the vote in this year’s
election, which was won by the DPP’s William Lai Ching-te, whose party
favors continued de-facto independence from China. The TPP won just
under 3% of the seats in the legislature."

In reality, the TPP won 8 seat in the legislature. 8 out of 113 is 7%.
